So you have definitely decided to go with IncFile as your main provider, whether due to their attractive rates or customer policies. The next logical step is figuring out how to best utilize their features with your available budget. Instead of purchasing just any of their packages on a whim, let’s first learn more about the company, their services, and pricing.
About IncFile
Formed in 2004, IncFile has grown from a more locally-oriented Texan company to one of the most popular providers nationwide. In the past seventeen years, the company has lent assistance to over 500,000 entities and owners, whether it’s to launch, grow, or expand their businesses.
Their substantial experience is supported by quite an impressive volume of reviews and high user ratings.
On Shopper Approved, the company has amassed whopping 27,246 reviews where it holds the score of 4.8 out of 5.
On BBB, their user rating is pretty high as well—a steady 4.21 out of 5 averaged from 450 reviews.
More issues seem to come on Trustpilot, though, where a good portion of negative feedback cites the company’s clerical errors and wrongful service charges.
The general consensus seems to be favorable, with multiple customers attesting to IncFile’s speed, user-friendly system, and professional care.
Some returning customers also attribute their repeated use of IncFile to the company’s reasonable pricing and easy access to the registered agent services which is more than accommodating in the events of agent resignation and unforeseen replacements.
Packages
IncFile LLC Service employs a popular three-tier pricing system, with each formation plan expanding the previous one.
Silver Package: $0 + state fees
As far as starter plans go, this one is surprisingly comprehensive. Not only does it handle free LLC registration, but also adds one year of a registered agent without extra charge as well as unlimited business name availability searches.
Gold Package: $149 + state fees
On top of covering all Silver features, Gold focuses on popular business solutions like EIN acquisition, drafting an operating agreement, and opening a business bank account. Since banks may ask you to provide a banking resolution, IncFile offers to take care of this step as well.
Other features include S-corp tax election and consultation in regards to business taxation, unlimited customer support by phone or email, lifetime compliance notifications, and complete access to your IncFile dashboard for managing and creating future documentation.
Platinum Package: $299 + state fees
The most expensive of the lot, this plan includes all aforementioned services and further expands them. The most attractive feature in Platinum is probably the free domain name registration (not counting annual renewal fees) for your website and a legitimate business email.
The package also gives you unlimited access to IncFile’s document library, so you can draft new contracts using their templates. Moreover, the other two plans come with standard processing by default, whereas Platinum defaults to expedited filing.
If either Gold or Platinum seems too costly for you, and you might not even need some of their add-ons, let’s take a look at how IncFile prices some of these features separately.
Premium Features
EIN ($70): obtaining your Federal Tax ID number is a necessary step if you plan to keep employees on the official payroll or want to open a business bank account.
Operating Agreement ($40): also known as a membership agreement, this document is designed for internal regulation, asset allocation, role assignment, procedural outlines, and more.
Banking Resolution ($35): this document is technically your way to outline your business goals to your bank when you apply for a business bank account.
Business Contract Templates ($150): an extremely useful feature for any company that deals with a lot of general contracts and agreements but doesn’t have a budget to keep an attorney on call.
Expedited Filing ($50): this option can be purchased with Silver and Gold plans to speed up your registration, though the exact processing times still depend on your location and can vary between 24 hours and 3 days.
Which is the Best Package to Form an LLC
The most well-balanced option out of all three is definitely their Gold package. It technically charges nothing for the formation itself, and the $149 total is calculated from additional feature fees.
If you choose to go with their Silver plan but buy Gold features separately, you will be looking at $145 at most + state fees, but that’s not counting some of the Gold features that aren’t available as separate extras, such as S-corp tax election, unlimited support, or lifetime company alerts.
If you are certain your budget can handle their Gold fees, then it’s without a doubt the best option. But if you can only spare the funds on state fees, then Silver will be more suitable, not to mention more affordable than similar plans offered by IncFile’s competitors.
